<3 John Gregory <3
I miss John and think about him everyday, but somehow each day does get a little easier. I know he's up in heaven fishing off of some island somewhere, telling stories about God knows what... :) Until we meet again...

Jordan's Field Trip
Last week we went to the zoo, and of course there were some funny Jordan moments. My favorite thing happened when we were about to leave the zoo. We were all supposed to follow the school buses to a nearby park and have a picnice lunch before heading back to the school.
Jordan, being a rebel like his mama, said- "How bout we just leave this place and go get some Chick Fil A?" lol
So we ditched his classmates and ate some chicken nuggets....

Letting Go
If you had ever asked me if God had a plan for my life, I would say "sure he does" but I never have really put much thought into it. I am a nurse, and I figured that maybe God's plan for me has something to do with that. I don't know. Like I said, I just never put much thought into God's plan because I've always been consumed with my own plans.
Going through all these things with Jordan has brought me closer to God. I mean closer to the God sitting on my bathroom floor at 3 am bawling my eyes out, not the God most people see on Sunday morning in their suits and ties. My son has meltdowns almost every day, chews on everything, twiddles his fingers and flaps his hands when he is upset. He is in trouble at school almost every day for his behavior. People look at him and think that because he looks normal and talks normal that he IS normal. He's not.
He is unusually smart, knows all 50 states, all dinosaur species, and knew the names of all his 30 Thomas the Tank Engines when he was 2. He can navigate my laptop better than I can. He was reading in the third week of kindergarten. But he still can't tie his shoes. He won't eat anything of nutritional value and he is sometimes acts out aggressively to other children and school administrators.
There are days when I don't know what to do, but there are also days when I see light at the end of this tunnel. I keep hoping that God may use me to help someone else in some way, and use Jordan as well. For what, I don't know. All I know is that I finally came to terms with letting go, and letting God.

Diamond Diggin'!
Yesterday my sister and I took the kids to dig for diamonds in Murfreesboro. After we got there, it became very apparent that they expected to actually find a diamond. So weren't they shocked to find a huge "diamond" in the dirt after we ate lunch....Here are some pics from it!

Autism Awareness Update!
Here's an update on what we've got goin on in the Autism Awareness arena:
April is Autism Awareness Month!!! McAlister's in Searcy is donating all of their tips for the month of April to the White County Autism Chapter! Score one for the home team...
We are also selling Autism bracelets (pic at bottom) for $3.00 and donating the proceeds as well. The money donated helps reach other families new to this diagnosis, education, etc. You can get them from me or my mom at her store, Wear It's At Consignments on Market St., behind Wendy's.
Searcy Living is looking for a mom to tell her story of her family's struggle with Autism. I'm not ready for this yet, but if anyone knows someone...let me know. It will be good publicity nonetheless.
Don't forget about the All Out for Autism Walk April 18th!!! Me n J will be there running for a cause!
I love all of you who support, believe in us, and keep the faith in us.... especially my sweet mother and my BFF Carlie. Thanks for listening to me whine everyday although I know it makes you crazy....lol
